KIPRED presented today its latest policy brief, Closing the Credibility Gap: A 2030 Blueprint for the Integration of the Western Balkans into the EU Single Market, drafted by Ilir Deda and Lulzim Peci.
The paper argues that meaningful access to the EU Single Market by 2030 represents the only credible intermediate step capable of restoring EU credibility, accelerating economic convergence, and strengthening regional stability in the Western Balkans.
KIPRED is particularly honored that the Preface of the policy brief is written by Mr. Pierre Mirel, Honorary Director-General at the European Commission, one of the most authoritative voices on EU enlargement and gradual accession. In his Preface, Mr. Mirel underlines the strategic importance of Single Market integration as a core pillar of gradual accession and a necessary response to the current credibility gap in EU enlargement policy.
