Prishtina, 16 January – After Kosovo’s supervised independence ended on 10 September 2012, the European Union’s (EU’s) largest and most ambitious rule of law civilian mission – EULEX – continues to function on the ground.
Prishtina, 15 October – Even though supervision of Kosovo’s independence has ended, the state is facing limited legitimacy at the international level, and a “handicapped” legitimacy in the region and the European Union (EU).

Prishtina, 9 August – At its fifteenth meeting of 2 July 2012, the International Steering Group (ISG) has announced its intention to end Kosovo’s supervised independence sometime in mid-September 2012.
